[2023/09/17 16:02] Sonja Bikergrrl: As you prepare to go, the zombie returns, it ignores you completely and walks into the centre of the room and stops there, standing still as a statue.

[2023/09/17 16:03] Sonja Bikergrrl: The translucent kitten clambers onto Dahlias' shoulder, looks round, headbumps her and *poof* winks out of sight.

[2023/09/17 16:05] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): looks up from where she was packing things and cataloging everything she was carrying to see the zombie standing in the room not moving, "Well that is strange but i suppose without its creator or controller of sorts its just stuck there until destroyed. Especially since it is a lesser mindless form of undeadand hopefully the only one of its kind anywhere around."
[2023/09/17 16:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Ooooh, finally...." She looks around, frowning at the zombie who lacks orders, and moves to keep going. "I wonder..... Zombie! Go outside and bury yourself."

[2023/09/17 16:28] Sonja Bikergrrl: Inside the inn, you can see the usual mix of farmers relaxing, along with Gnoink in a corner, and at the bar itself, two rather seedy types that you can't help but feel are shady characters, nursing ales and looking around."

[2023/09/17 16:30] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Shady/seedy in a way that debben recognizes? Also, "Can I get an ale and some cheezed bread?"

[2023/09/17 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: If you mean fellow rogueish characters of dodgy, dubious nature, yes. The barkeeper pulls a tankard and places some toasted bread slices out.
[2023/09/17 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: One of the shady looking guys wanders over. "Hey, friends," he says. "You look like you might be Debben and Leesha? With Megan..?"

[2023/09/17 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper pulls ale for all.
[2023/09/17 16:34] Alicia Frakture: Leesha is about to speak and stops.'Oh no, just no."
[2023/09/17 16:34] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man pauses. "No? But... they said you are...? And you're... well, an orc and a dwarf?"
[2023/09/17 16:35] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Who's asking?" Debben replies, looking the guy up and down more carefully. Weapons, armor, identity.
[2023/09/17 16:35] Alicia Frakture: Leesha growls."Because 9 times out of ten when someone asks that they try to kill us, and I am not dealing with that today."
[2023/09/17 16:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Friends of Megans', we did some business." You see a guy in leather... yes, a short sword discretely tucked away.
[2023/09/17 16:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Friends of megans then." She sighs. "I assume you've heard the news, then?"
[2023/09/17 16:37] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man looks confused for a moment, then backs away a pace. "Alright... alright... she did say you get people trying to help you take dirt naps... look, you know where she is, or not?"
[2023/09/17 16:38] Alicia Frakture: Leesha gets up and walks out
[2023/09/17 16:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man looks at Debben. "Um... she okay...?"

[2023/09/17 16:41] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man backs away slowly. "Maybe we'll... forget this happened..."
[2023/09/17 16:42] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "We attended her funeral just... was it only yesterday? Feels like a week already."
[2023/09/17 16:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: The man pauses. ".... funeral? You said... funeral? Hers?"

[2023/09/17 16:43] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ""We got jumped by a gang riding wolves. The gang went down easy, but the trip of wolves..." she shakes her head. "They almost took out my chest and when I had a moment to turn and look, Megan's throat was already...."
[2023/09/17 16:44] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She sighs. "...make that two ales, a cheeze bread and a stew."
[2023/09/17 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Oh... oh. Oh. I see. Oh."
[2023/09/17 16:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: The barkeeper nods and fetches out a stew and some bowls.
[2023/09/17 16:45] Sonja Bikergrrl: "That's too bad... she... didn't say anything about a few hundred gold..?"
[2023/09/17 16:46] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "We usually had other stresses on our minds," she replies, thinking back to other conversations.
[2023/09/17 16:47] Sonja Bikergrrl: "Right... of course... sorry... my condolences..." he backs away slowly, then at the bar away from you, turns to his friend. They start talking.
[2023/09/17 16:49] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben drinks and eats in silence, attempting to listen in. She vaugely recalls something about a hundred gold, but isn't sure if that's a credit or a liability.
[2023/09/17 16:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: You can't hear the conversation, but the body language is clearly exasperation and frustration; expansive guestures, shrugs, facepalms and head shaking. After a few minutes the other guy just shakes his head and walks out alone.
[2023/09/17 16:53] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Stonerot," she swears quietly into her ale. even when things go halfway ok they're halfway going wrong.
[2023/09/17 16:53] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me turning to Debben, "Will you be ok if I head outside for a bit?"
[2023/09/17 16:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: The guy you were talking to just just sighs and looks into his ale, and starts for the door, then reconsiders, returns to you. "Listen... there's a magic book... if you come across it, we'll pay. Just saying, okay?"
[2023/09/17 16:57] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Yeah. I think so," she assures Dhalia, then nodding to the other guy. "I'll keep an eye out for it," she promises, fully intending to have a full readthrough of it herself first.

[2023/09/17 16:59] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me makes sure her backpack is strapped tight , pulls the sack over shoulder , pets the kitty and moves to head outside. Not going far just looking for a quiet place to sit and tries to find one.

*** Sonja Bikergrrl: To DINA (Dahlia) *** Special Note from the DM: you sit somewhere.... and that's when it happens. You're not sure if you're asleep or awake, but, you certainly can't move... and a hooded figure approaches from the shadows, moving very fast. "Bring it back... bring it back!" It comes -right- up to you, you glimpse a rather ugly face under the hood, mere inches from yours... "You must bring it back!" and ... suddenly it's gone, and you can move again
*** ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): to DM ***: /me looks around after it disappears still scared and also wondering why it said what it did....she curled up tight and waited for some time hoping that nothing else happened before she reached into her backpack now , the whole reason she went to be alone and pulled out the unknown mysterious book that had appeared in her belongings while at the tower....she wanted to look at it and open it while alone....
*** Sonja Bikergrrl: to DINA (Dahlia) ***: Ah... you look at the book... it's pictures, text, but you can't quite make the pictures out and the text is gibberish.

[2023/09/17 17:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: Meanwhile, Gnoink comes to Debben. "Goblin tribe moved out, and some goblins decide to be good! You find big magic user?"
[2023/09/17 17:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Found a small one from the sound of it," she answers. "Big one probably would have set me on fire anyway."
[2023/09/17 17:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Gnoink nods, in the vague way of one who doesn't quite understand. "Things maybe much better now! Better for all." He wanders back to the bar.
[2023/09/17 17:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: She eats at her soup, pondering where she might track down a place private enough to really study and read what they found. Ideally they'd have claimed the whole tower, but....
[2023/09/17 17:13] Alicia Frakture: Leesha comes in and sits By Debben."Sorry about that."
[2023/09/17 17:14] Sonja Bikergrrl: (Towers in the wilderness with goodness knows what infesting the basements -might- not be the best bases to take)

[2023/09/17 17:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: Farmers are starting to finish up and go. The barkeeper is prominently wiping glasses and the counter.
[2023/09/17 17:21] Alicia Frakture: the whole thing. the walking out, the Megan, the flipping out, letting my anger control me. Megan. the whole thing."

[2023/09/17 17:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Right," she nods. "We definately need to find some way to... manage that." She looks at the closing bar and dunks her bread in the soup to finish it faster. "Do we know where we're staying for the night? Somewhere we can really figure out what happened in peace and quiet would.... really grand."

[2023/09/17 17:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: It's a half hour stroll, and that looks like a good point to stop... time to award XP!
[2023/09/17 17:27] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (dinadrone): /me "This probably isnt the best time or place but i have collected alot from the tower before we left and i have a bit of a recurring mystery too that has begun to get to me of late.", she took a breath and continued, "Hopefully we can talk in a more peaceful quiet setting soon, but i think that possibly some of the items from the tower might be of worth to study"
